THE PEAK FARM
Our Methods
How we farm at Peak Farm, the regenerative practices and principles that guide every decision we make on the land.
Soil Regeneration
We build soil health through minimal tillage, composting, and diverse cover cropping. Healthy soil is a living ecosystem, teeming with fungi, bacteria, and invertebrates that cycle nutrients and build structure naturally. Our goal is to increase organic matter year on year, creating soil that holds water, sequesters carbon, and grows more nutritious food.

Biodiversity & Ecosystem Health
We plant wildflower margins, hedgerows, and diverse crop mixes to attract pollinators, beneficial insects, and wildlife. A thriving ecosystem is our best pest management strategy. By encouraging natural predators and creating habitat corridors, we reduce the need for intervention and let nature maintain balance.
Natural Crop Production
No synthetic fertilisers. No pesticides. No shortcuts. We grow food using compost, green manures, and crop rotation. Every crop is chosen for its contribution to the wider system — fixing nitrogen, breaking compaction, or feeding soil microbes. The result is produce with genuine flavour and nutritional density.

Sustainable Land Management
Our long-term vision is to leave this land in far better condition than we found it. That means thinking in decades, not seasons. We plan our rotations, rest periods, and infrastructure around the health of the whole landscape — water management, carbon cycling, and ecological resilience.

Working With Nature
Every decision at Peak Farm starts with observation. What is the land telling us? What do the plants need? What does the ecosystem require to thrive?
We don't force outcomes — we create conditions for nature to do what it does best. The result is healthier soil, stronger crops, and food that tastes the way food should taste.
