THE PEAK FARM
About Peak Farm
The story of restoring land and growing real food
The Story Behind Peak Farm
Peak Farm began with a simple belief: that food should come from healthy land, and healthy land comes from working with nature — not against it. Founded by Mark Hulland in the heart of the Peak District, the farm started as a small plot of tired, compacted soil with a big vision.
Over the seasons, through trial, error, and a relentless curiosity, Mark has been transforming the land using regenerative principles. No synthetic fertilisers. No pesticides. Just patience, observation, and a deep respect for the ecosystem.
Today, Peak Farm is a living demonstration of what's possible when you let nature lead. The soil is coming alive, biodiversity is returning, and the food produced here carries a nutritional density that speaks for itself.

Why Regenerative Farming Matters
Industrial agriculture has degraded topsoil, polluted waterways, and produced food that's declining in nutritional value. Regenerative farming reverses this damage.
By building soil organic matter, encouraging microbial life, and increasing plant diversity, regenerative methods create a self-sustaining system that produces better food while healing the environment.
Our Mission
To restore soil health, produce genuinely nutrient-dense food, and share everything we learn along the way. Peak Farm exists not just as a food producer — but as a demonstration that farming can be a force for ecological restoration.
We believe in radical transparency: showing the successes and the failures, the experiments that worked and the ones that didn't.

Working With Nature
Every decision at Peak Farm starts with observation. What is the land telling us? What do the plants need? What does the ecosystem require to thrive?
We don't force outcomes — we create conditions for nature to do what it does best. The result is healthier soil, stronger crops, and food that tastes the way food should taste.
